Beijing Cheng’en Monastery Fotel
The project is located in Shijingshan District. With a extended floor area of 7328 m2, the buildings function as a hotel, or a “fotel”. Guestrooms are planned over the north zone; the hotel lobby and the SPA Club are arranged in the south zone. By thorough analysis of the existing conditions of the Monastery, the schematic design is started with space planning following a historical venation and the club to be sunken below the grade so as to blend the new buildings with the existing environment in the form of landscape structures.
